As a Blogger, you’re always looking for ways to increase your exposure and blog traffic. I know, I do the same!

One of those ways is using Pinterest. Pinterest works wonders to drive traffic to any blog, but from my experience, you need to collaborate with other users, through using group boards, link parties, or… Pinterest tribes!

Pinterest - Pinterest Tribes Can Drive Massive Traffic to Your Blog... Here's How!Add subheading
Pinterest tribes is part of Tailwind, the top social media scheduling tool for Pinterest and Instagram.

Although you don’t need an account with Tailwind to use Tribes, I recommend you do. You can have a free account (I’ve had a free one for a long time) and not only use tribes but also schedule pins to go on Pinterest.

And the benefit of Tailwind is that it will check the best times to pin based on your account and when your followers are active, so no need to guess or do any trial and error. Tailwind will do that for you.

But what exactly are Pinterest Tribes and How Can Drive Traffic?

Pinterest Tribes are like groups but they’re called tribes instead.

Basically they join together people that have the same interests and want to help each other by sharing pins:

Each tribe has its own rules, but usually for each pin you add to the tribe to be shared on Pinterest by other users, you need to repin another pin from another user.

Since social media in general is about collaboration and you need to share great content from other people too, this is a great tool that will allow you to:

  • Add your blog posts to be pinned by others
  • Find great content from others to pin on your boards
  • Schedule those pins to be shared at optimum times when your Pinterest followers are active
  • Get a LOT more retweets, exposure and click throughs to your blog
  • Meet and connect with other bloggers

I’ve started using Pinterest tribes fairly recently, from December 2016 and I started to see great results almost instantly, but I wanted to wait until the end of January to write this post so I can give you a bit more of stats.

So, previously my Pinterest account was growing in followers around 50/60 per week, and since I’ve started using Pinterest tribes, it went up to around 170 per week as you can see below:

You can also see here how my Pinterest followers have been growing in this last month:

And you don’t even need a massive number of re-shares to get to this results. When I started using Tribes, with only 5 re-shares, I’ve had a reach of 25.9k!

One of my pins also turned viral on Pinterest after being shared, which brought me over 100k impressions:

Over 3k shares on Pinterest:

Tip: If you want to use Tailwind and Pinterest Tribes to get your blog posts shared, my best tip is invest time in creating amazing images with the right Pinterest size. You can use a tool like Canva.com to do this.

Also, add your blog titles into the images, so people instantly see the value in your blog posts.

And, last but not least, create Infographics from your blog posts. Infographics are HUGELY shared on Pinterest and as you can see from the example of my pin, it can get you exposure and traffic for many months!
